We would like to invite you to the webinar Future of Rare Disease Education on 22 March, 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. (Central European Time); it is part of Medical Genetics Week.
Multiple gaps still exist in rare disease education, including pregraduate, postgraduate, and continuous medical education. In a webinar for all those involved in rare diseases education (as lecturers, rare disease experts, multidisciplinary team members in rare disease centres, students, or residents in training), we will discuss the current situation and the future of rare disease education.
Programme:
- Professor Harm Peters (Charité – Universitätsmedizin, Berlin, Germany): Rare Diseases Are Not So Rare in Academic Medical Centres.
- Associate Professor Birutė Tumienė (Vilnius University, Faculty of Medicine, Vilnius, Lithuania): Rare Disease Education in Europe and Beyond: Time to Act.
Medical Genetics Week (#MedicalGeneticsAwareness) is a week of events designed to better understand what those working in the medical genetics field do and why they do it and the important contribution that representatives of this field make to the diagnosis, management, treatment, prevention, and public understanding of genetic diseases.
