General information and requirements for transferring students:
- Students applying for transfer to Medicine or Dentistry study programmes have to be a student or have studied Medicine or Dentistry respectively. Students from other study programmes ARE NOT considered for transfer to Medicine or Dentistry study programmes.
- All transfer students are placed to a lower year (usually 1 year lower if the programmes are comparable) to make up for the programme differences between the two Universities. This will prolong your studies.
- Applicants who are about to finish or just finished year 1 of their studies WILL NOT be considered for transfer. If such applicants are willing to study at VU they have to apply for admission from year 1. Further information: https://www.vu.lt/en/studies/bachelor-and-integrated-studies/study-programmes
- It IS NOT POSSIBLE to transfer to the final year of the studies. At least 4 semesters have to be studied at VU in order to be able to receive VU diploma.
- IMPORTANT! It is not possible to do only an internship at VU (applies to both Medicine and Dentistry study programmes). Such separate internship programme IS NOT AVAILABLE and IS NOT OFFERED for non-VU students.
- All applicants ARE REQUIRED to meet all the obligations as other VU students, including the FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS. Please make sure you are familiar with tuition fees at VU MF and you are capable of financing your studies. No exceptions will be made as NO SCHOLARSHIPS will be offered. For further information about the programme please visit VU website https://www.vu.lt/en/studies/bachelor-and-integrated-studies/medicine (Medicine); https://www.vu.lt/en/studies/bachelor-and-integrated-studies/dentistry (Dentistry).
