Vilnius University became a co-publisher of the peer-reviewed scientific journal “Acta Medica Lituanica“. The journal published together with the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences and the National Cancer Institute. The editor-in-chief of the journal is Professor of the Department of Anatomy, Histology and Anthropology dr. (HP) Rimantas Jankauskas.
Acta Medica Lituanica publishes scientific reviews, research results, and clinical case studies. The authors are mostly from Lithuania and the Baltic States, but a lot of manuscripts were recieved from all over the world. This journal aims to contribute to the development and dissemination of multidisciplinary knowledge in the various fields of the medical and biomedical sciences.
"I hope that with the help of modern publishing tools, the journal will be strengthened, its readership will increase, its visibility and the citation of articles will increase, and in the long run we will get to the most valued databases," the magazine's chief editor Rimantas Jankauskas commented.
