Undergraduate students (those in their first-cycle study programme) are invited to apply for the 2026 Amgen Scholars Summer Research Programme, supported by the Amgen Foundation. The programme has been running at five prestigious European universities for several years. During the programme, students will have the opportunity to conduct a research project over the summer break, participate in science community events and networking activities to connect with their peers.
The programme takes place at five premier higher education institutions across Europe. Each host institution organizes its own application and selection process. All applicants must be from European universities. It is acceptable to apply to all five institutions if desired.
To be eligible to apply to the Amgen Scholars Europe Programme:
- Applicants must be undergraduate students enrolled in European colleges or universities who have not yet completed their bachelor’s degree, first-cycle, or equivalent study programmes. Additional conditions may apply to medical students, as outlined on the websites of the host institutions.
- Applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance and show an active interest in pursuing post-graduate (PhD) studies in the future.
Detailed information, the selection criteria and FAQs are available on the website of the Amgen Scholars Programme here.
