This April, a photography exhibition by Audronė Makrickienė titled "Encounters with Nature" was opened at the Vilnius University Faculty of Medicine. In it, the author shares moments she has experienced in nature—harmony, tranquility, and a sensitive outlook on life. The idea behind the exhibition is simple yet important: beauty and small miracles are all around us—we just need to notice them.

Audronė is a loving mother, grandmother, entrepreneur, active choir member, and passionate traveler. "I believe that photographs allow us to stop time, and what enters the frame becomes eternal," says the author, who captures all her moments with a phone camera.

Her archives include images from the most exotic corners of the world, but her heart always returns to Lithuania. Here, the author finds true peace and inspiration. Here, her most beautiful shots were born.

"Encounters with Nature" is the author's personal photographic diary. Lithuania’s forests, meadows, and fields have become her space for observation and discovery. A. Makrickienė seeks out what often goes unnoticed: a raindrop caressing a blossom, the first snowflake on rosy-cheeked berries, or the moment when a bird’s cry falls silent. Each frame is a paused, patiently awaited moment, inviting the viewer to slow down, look closer, and discover the beauty that surrounds us.
