The Rosalind Franklin University Internal Medicine Residency at Northwestern McHenry Hospital is a 3 year post graduate IM residency program, one of 3 residencies sponsored by Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and located at a Northwestern Medicine Hospital in McHenry Illinois. Northwestern Medicine is the 10th ranked hospital in the entire United States.
The internal Medicine residency at McHenry was established 7 years ago. It is highly successful with a 100% passage rate on the American Board of Internal Medicine certifying examination and a 95% success rate in matching interested residents into subspecialty Fellowship training such as Cardiology, Hematology, Nephrology and many others.
The residency strives to have a diverse class of residents including those from the US, Canada, South America, Africa, Asia and Europe. Among European medical school graduates matriculating or graduating from the residency are those from Greece, Turkey, Germany, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Poland, and Belarus. The residency is reaching out to the University of Vilnius to further diversify its residency cohort.
