On 30–31 March 2023, the 8th International Conference on Professional & Practice Based Doctorates for doctoral students and university and college professors took place in York, United Kingdom. During the plenary session of the conference, Viktorija Kielė, who is a junior researcher and assistant professor at the Department of Nursing of the Institute of Health Sciences of the Vilnius University Faculty of Medicine, and a doctoral student at the Department of Nursing of the University of Turku Faculty of Medicine, presented a paper entitled My PhD Way, relating her experience as a doctoral student. In addition, the PhD student participated in 20:20 (20 minutes for 20 slides) and poster presentations with her pilot study called EduCompNurs: New Understanding of Educational Component.
During the conference, the themes that were analysed comprised practice-based educology perspectives and different educological approaches that can be applied in practice, as well as their effect on the experience of students, learning processes, and learning results.
