The European Hematology Association (EHA) invites all those considering further specialization after completing medical studies to participate for free in the “Lighting the Flame 2023/24. Get to Know Hematology” program in English. During this program, students will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the intricacies of hematology, the science of blood disorders (clinical evaluation, data interpretation, management of therapeutic protocols, and more), participate in various events, and establish long-lasting beneficial connections.

The program consists of three stages:

  • Virtual Campus (24/7/365 access). During this phase, students will become familiar with the science of hematology in the context of clinical, research, and laboratory practice. They can take part in virtual courses on blood disorders (such as lymphoma, acute myeloid leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, etc.) and join ongoing webinars, workshops, and other events related to hematology.
  • Summer Campus (applications accepted until February/March 2024). Accepted students will have the chance to interact with experienced hematologists from various fields (mentors), gain knowledge about clinical and research practices, and establish valuable long-term relationships.
  • Second stage of the Summer Campus. Participants from the first summer camp will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the field of hematology, learn about the latest practical approaches in hematology, and explore scholarship opportunities.
