We look forward to seeing you at the Faculty of Medicine Study Department Meeting for Students of the Medicine, Dentistry, and Nursing Study Programmes, which will take place at the Vilnius University Medical Science Centre (Žaliųjų Ežerų St. 2, Vilnius).

Here, you'll meet the Study Department team in person. They'll give you your complete study roadmap, answer all your questions, point you to the right contacts, introduce you to your study coordinator, and much more. Well begun 🚀 is half done —so don’t miss this meeting!

WELCOME GIFT No. 2

All students will be supplied with laboratory robes from the very first weeks of studies. Please, come, try it on, and pick up your robe embroidered with the Vilnius University Faculty of Medicine logo of prefered size on your earliest convenience. There is no need to pre-order – we invite you to try it and make your choice on the spot.

You can pick up your robe as follows:

• 17–31 August – at the VU Merchandise Store (Šv. Jono St. 12, Vilnius; entrance from Pilies St.) during opening hours (daily, 10:00–20:00);
• 24 August, 8:00–13:00 – at the student dormitory (M. K. Čiurlionio St. 23) during move-in;
• 1 September, 10:00–12:30 – in the lobby of the Faculty of Medicine (M. K. Čiurlionio St. 21), next to the staff entrance (1st floor).

The gift is intended for all first-year students starting Bachelor's and Integrated study programmes at the Faculty of Medicine in 2026. Please bring your ID card when collecting your robe.

The very first occasion to wear your white robe will be during the traditional Vilnius University community procession on September 1.

One more important thing: Start your student journey by becoming a true hero of Lithuanian medical research! Donate a blood sample to The Biobank of Lithuanian Population and Rare Disorders.

This population biobank, established within the Faculty of Medicine at Vilnius University, collects and stores a unique collection of biological samples from the Lithuanian population. By studying these samples, researchers are advancing the medicine of the future. Every donated sample is valuable and contributes to improving public health and saving thousands of lives in the years to come.

The blood sample collection campaign will take place on three occasions. You are welcome to attend at the time most convenient for you:

• 28 August, 11:00–14:00 – VU Faculty of Medicine, Room 129, (M. K. Čiurlionio St. 21);
• 31 August, 11:00–14:00 – VU Faculty of Medicine, Room 129, (M. K. Čiurlionio St. 21);
• 2 September, 10:30–14:00 – Vilnius University Medical Science Centre (Žaliųjų Ežerų St. 2, Vilnius).

Important: Please bring a valid identity document. Before attending, you must create an account in the Biobank's online system.
