On the 8th of April, 2025, during the Electoral General Assembly of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (LMA) candidates for membership were presented. In total, 16 academicians were elected as members of the LMA, including Prof. Arvydas Laurinavičius from the Faculty of Medicine, Vilnius University. Professor Laurinavičius was nominated for the membership of the LMA by the Senate of Vilnius University.

Dr. Gražina Tautvaišienė, Prof. Daumantas Matulis, Prof. Vaiva Lesauskaitė, Prof. Egidijus Rimkus, Prof. Dr. Gediminas Brazaitis, Prof. Dr. Modestas Ružauskas, Prof. Dr. Petras Rimantas Venskutonis, Prof. Dr. Audrius Dėdelė and Prof. Dr. (HP) Juozas Valivonis.
