Members of the Council of the Vilnius University Faculty of Medicine / MF Archive
On July 1, 2025, the newly elected members of the Council of the Vilnius University (VU) Faculty of Medicine (MF) (hereinafter referred to as the Council) gathered for the first meeting. The agenda of the meeting included one issue – the election of the Chairman of the Council and the designation of his Deputy.
During the secret voting, prof. Eugenijus Lesinskas was elected Chairman of the Council. He is re-elected to the Council, works at the Institute of Clinical Medicine, Ear, Nose, Throat and Eye Diseases Clinic. The vote of confidence in Professor E. Lesinskas has been given once again: he will take up his third mandate as Chairman of the Council.
Professor Vilma Brukienė was designated Deputy Chairman. She is an employee of the Institute of Dentistry.
After the meeting agenda was implemented, the Biobank of Lithuanian Population and Rare Disorders of the Vilnius University Faculty of Medicine (hereinafter referred to as the Biobank), that was established in spring, was briefly presented to the Council members. The Council members were invited to donate their blood samples, and to become participants of the Biobank as well as its ambassadors in community of Faculty and society. 6 members of the Council took advantage of this opportunity.
We remind you that the Council was elected during the voting held on June 11, 2025.
