In September of this year, the exhibition of Sigita Budrienė's paintings „The Return to Oneself“ was opened at the Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University, reflecting the author's personal journey through her emotions by painting.
According to the artist, the exhibition is a map of an inner journey: every brushstroke is an emotion, every colour – a state of being, every painting – a step back to oneself.
Closely connected with art since childhood, Sigita rediscovered painting after a long pause – this time as a way to communicate with herself. In 2023, after experiencing a divorce, she captured vitality, sensitivity, and defiance against imposed boundaries on canvas.
The exhibition invites the viewer not only to look at the paintings, but also to feel – to recognize their own emotions, doubts, and discoveries. It is a journey into silence, where joy is reborn.
