Dear Students,


As the new academic year begins, we warmly invite you to join the Student Research Network (SRN) at the Faculty of Medicine, Vilnius University. Become involved in active scientific work and contribute to the development of the academic community.

What is the SRN?
The SRN is a network based on voluntary membership that connects students in integrated, bachelor's, and master's study programs with researchers at the Faculty of Medicine. This initiative promotes student involvement in scientific research, helps develop research skills, and fosters connections with lecturers and researchers.

Why should you join?
• Opportunity to develop your thesis and professional path from the beginning of your studies
• Participation in relevant research projects with experienced researchers
• Opportunity to present your work at the annual SRN conference and publish your results in conference proceedings
• Eligibility to apply for various named scholarships (VU, Sophie Ambroza Fund, Kadis Fund, the Presidential Kazys Grinius Scholarship, etc.)
• Additional points for scientific activities when applying for residency programs
• Possibility to take part in Research Council of Lithuania projects, summer internships, and improve project writing and science communication skills
• Opportunity to qualify for the Magna Cum Laude diploma for outstanding research achievements

To become part of the SRN, please fill out the registration form by October 10 HERE

You can also join later by contacting the coordinators of specific research groups. The contact list is available HERE.

The coordinator of each SRN research group will provide more detailed information about the group's activities and opportunities.
