We are glad to share the achievements of the researchers of the Faculty of Medicine! By the resolution of the Rector of Vilnius University, Professor of the Department of Anatomy of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Dr. Rimantas Jankauskas, Associate Professor Dr. Žydrūna Miliauskienė and researcher Dr. Justina Kozakaitė have been honoured by the commemorative awards for significant scientific achievements in 2019, in the category of the best applied research of Vilnius University researchers. Scholars were evaluated for the identification of the remains of 1863–1864 years rebel commanders and detailed anthropological investigation.

In the early days of the year 2020, a delegation of Vilnius University visited Tel Aviv, Israel. During the visit, members of the group participated in the International Study Fair, met with executives of partner company MD International and conducted motivational interviews with prospective students. For the first time in the history of the Faculty of Medicine about 15 foreign students established an International Students’ Representative (ISR) Group. It became a part of the important organization of Vilnius University – The Students’ Representative at Vilnius University, and its group of the Faculty of Medicine (VU SA MF).

PLOS One is a well-known, peer-reviewed open access scientific journal published by the Public Library of Science since 2006. The journal covers primary research from any discipline within science and medicine. The Faculty of Medicine, together with PLOS One, congratulates Vaidutis Kučinskas, a professor at Vilnius University, on the news, that his paper on the topic of pharmacogenomics is among the 10 percent most cited in this journal.
